Later commentary over the next decade from individual developers would contest its development status, until May 2019, when it was announced that the game was being developed for the Intellivision Amico console. It was originally announced by Interplay Entertainment in 2008, and referred to by Interplay as "still in development" in May 2011. Earthworm Jim 4 is a video game in the Earthworm Jim series.
